Ce document est un rapport d'initiation à la recherche scientifique, effectue en premiere annee d'ecole d'ingenieur à Polytech Angers. Il est la synthese des differentes methodes de reconnaissance d'objet dans une image. On y traite la methode de Viola et Jones, la transformee de Hough et les reseaux de neurone convolutif. Ce rapport egalement la synthes d'une modeste contribution dans le domaine de la detection d'objet, consistant à realiser un reseau de neurone traitant la detection de visage.

This document is an introductory report to scientific research, it has been drafted during the first year of engineering school at Polytech Angers. It relate about the various methods that can be used for a computer in object detection. It covers the Viola & Jones method, the Hough transform and the Convolutional Neural Networks. Follows a small contribution in the area of object detection by making a neural network detecting the presence of a face in an image.
